SCHOOL TRIP SAFETY

If your child is coming for a school ski trip this winter, we want to share the following information to ensure that we are doing our utmost to provide a safe, fun, learning environment for your child while on our slopes.

Our process follows the outline as presented by the Ontario School Board Insurance Exchange.  The complete resource guide is available at: www.osbie.on.ca/pdf/English-Ski-Package.pdf.  Please feel free to review the guide in order to better understand how your school and Mansfield Ski Club will work together to provide a safe, structured experience.

One of the things that we do to help assist in pre-educating the entire school group is to proved the trip organizer with a video that they can watch in advance of the trip.  This excellent video is called “A little respect” and it can be viewed at the following link: www.thinkfirst.ca/programs/a_little_respect.aspx.  You will discover that this video provides great advice to both inexperienced and experienced skiers and snowboarders of all ages.
